Jenny has in depth experience in casualty simulation make-up fx and works internationally providing a variety of injuries for actors and training exercise participants. As well as creating her own prosthetics by casting and moulding, she also creates props for use in medical demonstration or to be applied to actors to be used in simulation exercises. Due to her knowledge of products and application skills she can work on multiple casualties with speed and accuracy. As part of major training exercises in both the UK and abroad, Jenny can create injuries with medical accuracy whilst understanding the mechanism of injury. Injuries created include amputations, major blast wounds, gun shot entry and exit wounds, burns in varying degrees, bruising, cuts, abrasions, road/gravel rash to name a few.
As a PTTLS level 4 training instructor she has written and delivered, courses and workshops, for casualty simulation and special effects. Courses have been delivered in various parts of the UK for medical institutions, military, emergency service providers, hospitals and colleges. Standard courses are offered at introduction and intermediate levels, and they can also be tailored to meet the needs of the training requirement.
